The ABC's of a Happy Life

Question: Why "The ABC's of a Happy Life"?
Answer:Everyone wants to be happy. Peoples lives, activities, goals are centered on this desire to be happy making it a very good topic to blog about. A lasting happy life is what everybody wants yet not everybody gets. Some sees it as the absence of misery, pain, suffering, and all these negative qualities that make people unhappy. In the vedic literatures, the self is considered sat-chit-ananda that is eternal, full of knowledge and bliss. So by nature, I am full of bliss but have forgotten about this. Realizing this real nature of the self will bring me to the state of lasting happiness and bliss. But this is not automatic, simply by thinking that I'm full of bliss will not immediately put me in that state. An effort should be made, I have to do something to achieve such state. Hence, the need to learn the ABC's of a Happy Life.

In trying to learn something, like reading for example, there is a certain procedure to follow to be able to learn to read. You dont automatically get to read right away. It all starts with learning how to read letters first, before you can read an actual word and so on. The ABC's is the systematical way or effort to achieve the goal people are so anxious to achieve in their lives.

Question: What are these ABC's you're talking about?
Answer: It's important for a person to realize first his real identity before he sets his goals. These ABC's are actually the knowledge or science of our identity. The knowledge of who we are, why we are here, and what should we be doing. In other words, it deals with our essence, position, and function as a person.
